My Search For The Homeostasis - The "Health Balance"
For 25 years I've been searching for the right keys. I was standing in front of the doors to health and well-being many times in my life. Many times I just had the wrong set of keys. Three times I was diagnosed with pneumonia . It is a lung inflammation caused by a certain virus or bacteria. From the first stay at the hospital, I don't remember anything. I was two years old. The second time was remembered. I can see clearly the visit to our primary care physician back in Poland. He checked me and, as usual, had a conversation with my mom. She came to me and let me know that I have to go to the hospital. I was devasted. I said to my parents that I will stay there only under two conditions. First, my mom stays with me. Second, I have my own room. Fortunately, my father was able to make it happen. My mother and I stayed at the hospital for over three weeks. It took several months to fully recover.
The Third Visit At The Hospital
The third time was about two weeks before Christmas. This time, I was in a German hospital. I had 106 degrees fever and felt very weak. My organs have swelled . Doctors tested over 40 ampules of blood before they clearly acknowledged that it is pneumonia again. It took over six months to recover after I left the hospital on December 23rd. Right on time for Christmas.
Where Is The Key?
There I was, constantly sick, fighting with inflammations, viruses, and my self. Looking for the right key. Standing in front of the right doors to the homeostasis. My last visit had a big impact on my future. I began an intense search. Even though I was into sports and a healthy lifestyle I knew that there must be a better solution. It is not normal to be sick every four weeks. I was introduced into a very low-carb diet. Now, I can call it my lifestyle. Avoiding carbohydrates like bread, sugar, pasta, cookies, potatoes put our bodies into the state of ketosis . The ketone bodies  are released by the liver and can be used as our primary energy source. As glucose (sugar and other carbs) are not our energy source no more the state of ketosis allows our body to use fat as the number one energy source. First, we get rid of the worst fat. The one that surrounds our organs. Second, we burn undesired fat. Lastly, we burn the fat we consume as our meals consist of 80% of fat. We eat fatty meats and fish, nuts, heart-healthy oils, leafy veggies, cheese, or eggs. There is a lot of options.

In addition to it, I began fasting. I started with 12 hours. Today, I fast for 16 to 24 hours every single day. Sometimes, I eat one meal a day only. Fasting opens the door to the homeostasis. It regulates hormones and helps our bodies to get rid of bad cells. We call it "autophagy". My longest fast was for 48 hours. I felt great. I highly recommend learning more about fasting.

Last year, I came across Dr. Raphael Mechoulam and his discovery . In 1990 Israeli professor discovered the endocannabinoid system. A truly amazing one. He found that our bodies have many receptors ("locks") all over. We have them in our brain, nervous system, immune system, endocrine system... Moreover, our bodies produce cannabinoids ("keys"). They are neurotransmitters. We produce Anandamide & 2-AG. In a robust organism, those neurotransmitters bind into the receptors and promote many healthy processes.
