The Job As An Event Coordinator

The Job As An Event Coordinator

Event Planning Under Top 5 Most Stressful Jobs

As a newlywed, I can tell from my own experience how stressful it is to put an event together. Last call changes, constantly coming special requests or dealing with plenty of people and business owners. Organizing all that is very demanding. Bossy parents won't help. They make it even worse. Pleasing hundreds of people isn't an easy task to perform. Our wedding was overseas so the communication with our wedding coordinator had to be on point. After all, we had to create a friendship early enough as the preparation took over 12 months. It was the most beautiful wedding we could imagine. We are very happy it worked out so well. Looking back, I can see the true value of our wedding planner.

Why Is Your Job So Stressful?

A wedding is just one type of event. As an event planner, you are dealing with arrogant CEOs and other executives, commanding stars, higher society or any critical people. Moreover, in order to put an event or a gala together, you have to coordinate it with cooks, waiters, florists, handymen, venue owners or representatives and more. Exiting fact is that you are never by yourself! You get the opportunity to be very social all the time.

Required Skills As An Event Coordinator

We always thrive for perfection even if it seems to be elusive. Event coordinators require the best negotiation and mitigation skills to calm frazzled nerves before they turn into a disaster. Did I mention budgeting yet? Everyone expects to create a Paris-Hilton-Like wedding on a school teacher's budget. Deal with that Mrs. Coordinator! All I am giving you is a DEADLINE... We can see that being an event planner equals being a highly effective executive.

Dealing With Stress

According to topresume.com [1] there are over 115,000 event planners in the United States. That means over 115,000 stressed-out souls. The median pay is $47,350. Your job stays for a long time under Top 5 Most Stressful Jobs.

Reduce Your Stress

  • There is science behind it and the book "Why We Sleep" by Matthew Walker proves that. [2] Sleep can help you tremendously. It heals nearly everything
  • Each morning your head or mind needs to be cleared. www.Calm.com can help you find your "calm" [3]
  • Ask a counselor for help. Build a team around you. Remember: You are an effective executive
  • This one might seem paradoxical but you should eat-out with your best friends and family
  • Take CBD - You can start with as little as 10 mg in the morning and 10 mg in the evening [4]

CBD As Your Cure For Stress

CBD or Cannabidiol is one of many cannabinoid compounds found in cannabis. While it is used to treat many disorders it doesn't give you the adverse effects of feeling "high". It is not psychoactive. There is clinical evidence documenting that CBD helps with stress, anxiety, neuropsychiatric disorders (epilepsy), or even schizophrenia.

One study [5] tested 72 adults that suffered from anxiety and very poor sleep. The results were phenomenal. During the first month, 57 patients significantly improved their sleep and simultaneously decreased the anxiety levels.

How Fast Will Your Stress Disappear?

There is plenty of research and studies about it [6]. The most important for an event coordinator might be the time from the consumption to the moment you have reached the desired effect. Taking sublingually only 1/4 of the dropper of the LiefRoyal Premium CBD Tincture will provide your body and mind with about 10 mg of full-spectrum CBD. Me personally, as wells as most of our clients get the results within 30 to 60 minutes. It is truly amazing.

You will feel calm and relaxed. My friend Giada was very hesitating to take her first drop of full-spectrum CBD. She works in the event industry for over 10 years now.

Conclusion

We all know how bad stress is and what can it cause inside our bodies. It is very important to spend as much time we have on planet earth smiling, enjoying ourselves, and being happy.

LiefRoyal wishes you plenty of successful events and hopefully, our product can help you not to stress out too much. The tincture is small and we recommend to always have it near you.

Best,

Mateusz Wis

Everything on this article touched specific situations as too why an event planners job can be stressful. A suggestion to planners is treat clients on a perspective that they are guests/clients they do not know you personally. You are the professional, being detailed and do not take things personally. After every event, or on a daily basis. Find time for yourself. A personal space and time for yourself. So, you’re rejuvenated daily. A great workout, a relaxing massage, walk on the beach, cooking or anything to find your relax time. This helps to concentrate on the next tasks. Remember to give yourself a great reward for your self worth. Educate your client about a time to close shop and open shop. Always put an out of office, and when you’re estimated time to get back to them. At night or any time that you remember something but you’re already done for the day. Add this to your calendar for the next day to tackle. Don’t dwell on it. Add it and cross it out the next day. I could go on and on things. But at the end of the day. You have to love and enjoy what you do. Because if you like what you do. You will never work a day in your life.
